Are the subs 4 ohms DVC or SVC? What ohm load is the amp stable at? Give all of the info that you can.

The subs are 4 ohms and the amp is either 2 or 4 ohms. I was told I could bridge them. I do not know where to find the dvc or svc.

If they have only one positive and one negative connection, it is a single voice coil. If there is a set of + and - on each side of the basket, it is a dual voice coil. If they are single voice coil woofers, you can bridge them on the amp, but you MUST wire them in series for an 8 ohm load. The amp will produce the same exact power into an 8 ohm mono load as it will into a 4 ohm stereo load. Option 2 (series) = 8 ohm load Speakers wired in series Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 4, 2, or 1 ohm mono
If they are Dual Voice coil woofers, you can bridge the amp at 4 ohm mono. Option 2 (series/parallel) = 4 ohm load Voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 4, 2, or 1 ohm mono

Are you sure that the amp is 2 ohm MONO stable? Or is it 2 ohm stable?

If you insist on bridging those speakers on that amp, you MUST run them in series. That amp is 2 ohm stereo stable. Which is the same thing as 4 ohm mono.
