Where did you get power for the remote terminal of the amp?  Factory deck, aftermarket deck??

i got a jvc El Kameleon KD-AVX44 A/V. i got the remote to the amp, on 'remote out'  from the radio, i also have a audiocontrol epic 160 hooked up with the radio. i too have it on the remote out. i know it has to be something with the remote, because whenever the amp is in protect mode, my epicenter bass/power light blinks together, unless something is wrong with the epic, causing it tomess with the remote on the amp

move the amp remote wire to the red wire behind the radio and see what that does.
