How should i connect my speakers?

I've got 2 SVC 10" 225RMS MTX's and already have them mounted in custom box, have head unit as well, and am getting a 600watt Kenwood amp tomorrow. I'm wondering which is the best way to set them up and why?

Parallel or Series? Why?

Can someone tell me when or where i'd run a series setup versus a parralel setup?

Thanks in advance!

it depends on the specs of the amp which would be better to use. but if your subwoofers are single 4 ohm voice coils, you will want to do a series hook up which will give you a total ohm load of 2 ohms at the amp if it is a mono amp. if you are getting a 2 channel amp just hook up one sub to each channel, it is the same thing.

Also, would 8gauge wiring suffice for said setup?

1 more question i've been lookin at the parallel and series calc, as well as the sub wiring diagram, and am wondering.. on a 2channel amp, if i hook up a sub to each channel, this will indeed be a 2ohm load correct?
or is it still 4ohm since each sub is on it's channel?

one sub per channel to that amp...........8 gauge power wire will be fine, but I always recommend 4 gauge power wire the reason being if decide to upgrade or add a second amp you dont have to purchase another amp kit, take the 8 gauge out and run the 4 gauge because its already done.....and the 4 gauge amp kit is only a few bucks more.
