so i am running 2 amps.. and i just rewired them.. the only thing i did different is that i ran 2 separate positive wires from the battery.. and now on only 1 of the amps.. it has like a static noise? even when the car is shut off... no clue what is causing this..
it never did it before when i just used a 2 amp distribution box.. so it split off into 2 wires from the box.. but only had 1 wire coming from the battery?
oh i found out that it is the radio playing in the background when i have a cd in.. if i turn the volume down i can still hear the noise.. but i had my radio on a station with no music and just static.. when i changed the radio station to an actual station.. i could hear it in the background instead of the static noise... so its interfering somehow?
What kind of radio? Is there a separate unit for radio and CD?
no its a power acoustik hu.. but its only the 1 amp that is having the interferance .. if i turn the hu all the way down to 0.. i can still hear the radio playing threw the tweeters... its prolly cuz the amp im using for them is a cheapy..

Sounds like you may have a grounded speaker wire or a damaged RCA cable... or it could be your HU is defective or just really poorly made.

actually i just ran new RCA cables.. and my other jensen deck did the same thing now that i think about it... i just bought all new stuff.. what do u mean by grounded speaker wire? should i run different speaker wire to the speakers from the amp?
never assume equipment (amp) hasn't failed. if you can, stay away from jensen and low end equipment
