I have narrowed my choice of components down to these 3 sets.

Boston Acoustics SL60

MB Quart PVI 216

JL Audio VR650-CSi

I have a jl audio g4500 multi channel amp that will be powering them.  I need them to be able keep up with my dd 9512 and still sound crystal clear.  Anyone have any suggestions?

If you have four channels available for your front end and the proper crossovers (either in your deck or on your amp), run your comps active dude! Once you go active, you will never go back to passive.  Keep in mind if you have no idea what you are doing you can screw stuff up pretty easily. Good luck homie!

I love the sound of the JL VR's but for the money I would just stick with their C5's.

VRs, dude... I don't like ANY metal domes, and the VR tweeters are what I have in my own system...

You do know that the VRs are discontinued, right?

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
