When I play my music with the engine off my speakers sound fine. But when I play my music with the engine on my speakers don't sound so clear and I hear static noises, it sounds really annoying. I have a Alpine CDE-9843 powering s pair of Infinity 6022i (6 1/2) and a pair of Alpine type S (6x9). When I first installed all of this it sounded great, but all of a sudden static noises were coming out of my speakers. And only my front speakers make the static noises, not the 6x9's. It also makes noises when I play my radio also. I was told to buy a noise filter. Any suggestion? Thanks aot.

If you rev your engine, does the noise change? Is it a ticking noise or a whining noise?

If you find that the noise speeds up when you rev the engine, while it is dark outside, open the hood and get someone to rev the engine a bit while you look for sparks coming from the spark plug wires.

Alright, I will do that, but I can't at the moment because no one is available to help me. The noise occurs when the bass drops, or when I play a song with a lot of bass.

Sounds to me that maybe you are overdriving your speakers or whatever is powering them. If they are being driven by your radio, do the lights on the radio dim when this noise is occurring?

Yeah! The lights do dim. When I first installed it sounded and perfecty fine. It would be a good idea if I get a amp right? What should I do for now? Should I just get some some speakers that matches the rms from the deck? Thank a lot. I appreciate it.

The reason it sounded OK when first installed and it does not sound OK now is known as ear fatigue. You are going deaf. When you first put it in, it sounded so good with the extra bass. You got use to that level of bass and need it louder now. Every day you play it a little bit louder, now you are at the level that is making your radio distort. If you go one week without listening to it, it will sound good again. I do not care what your deck says, it is putting out no more than 18 watts per channel. Yes an amp would probably help you.

I forgot about that part, you may need to get a volt meter and check voltage on the yellow wire of the radio. Check it with car off then with car running. When checking voltage, touch and hold the negative lead to the chassis of the radio. Also have the radio playing loud enough to be displaying the problem you are having.

When I first install it sounded perfectly fine. The max volume on my deck is 35, and I put it up 2 30 but it didn't sound so clean. 25 26 was the volume was just right. I hooked up some Insignia speakers and they sounded okay, the spec are 35rms/70max. Do you know why my speakers sound way better when the engine is off? It can be many reasons why my speakers sound like this. Oh btw, my 6x9's (Alpine Type-S) they are fine, they don't give out static noises.
