i smelled smoke then amps turned off and this is what i found. i tried to upload a pic but can't seem to figure it out. I have 2 ground cables that come together at my grounding point. Im just wondering what went wrong with my grounds. The cables themselfs melted a little bit and that is what caused my fuse to pop im just thankful that my fuse popped and everything is still in working condititon. any ideas why my grounds melted?

Resistance in the connection. The crimp and or the contact to the chassis of your vehicle has excessive resistance. Its really just that simple.

As stated above, resistance = heat. It was either a bad connection or you have too small of a ground wire. Do you have a 4 Ga. power wire and an 8 Ga. ground wire?
