i installed 3 X JL13s(1500w) and Fosgate 4000x1 mono amp with 0 gage cable and 300amp anl fuse.i put extra yellow top optima batt. subs wiring is Voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel. fuse got burn every time. any idea? ------------- full throttle

Does the fuse blow as sonn as you turn the amp on, or only when you play it loud?

i 3x check connetions no short or reverse wires. it play few sec and burn. subwoofer specs : nominal impedance - dual 1.5 ohm, 1500w amp specs :1 ohm load per ch. 4000w X 1 2 ohm load per ch. 3000w X 1 and this amp is not recommended for impedance loads below 1 ohm or 2 ohm per bridged(strapped) . ------------- full throttle

Here is my interpretation (keep in mind I could be WAYYYYYY off): I tripple checked my connections but I found no shorts and no reversed wires. The amp will play for a few seconds and then the fuse will blow. |

If it had shorted output transistors, it would blow the fuse as soon as the amp came on. If it is blowing only when attempting to play, it has to be a problem with a speaker or the wiring of the speakers. Try disconnecting the speaker wires and then reconnect one speaker at a time. Test after each speaker is reinstalled.

Thank you for translate my poor English and helping me.
I replace new amp and connected only 12volt,remote and ground.
And now I got protection light came on.No speaker wire and RCA connected.
Do I have power problem?
Power and ground cables are 0gauge and ground chase less than 30 inchs.

You COULD have a power problem, and I'm wanting to think that it is in your ground. Where is it connected? If you used a seat bolt, MOVE IT. Seat bolts are not optimal, and in fact are often recommended AGAINST, for a proper ground. It IS, however, a Rockford Fosgate amplifier... Not the grandest of quality, I'm afraid. You could possibly have a bad one out of the box - it has happened.
What is the vehicle? First bet, and best option, is to connect directly to the chassis; failing this, you need to clean a spot of metal on the body of all paint and oxidation, drill a hole (BE CAREFUL of what's behind it!!! Don't drill into your petrol tank or your brake booster!) clean the outside area as well, and bolt it tightly there. I recommend a coat of conductive grease everywhere on and inside the connection, and on the outside nut a coat of undercoating over the connection. Do the undercoating after you are sure that the connection is good and solid, both electrically and mechanically - meaning, make sure everything works PERFECTLY before covering it all up!

It's 98 ford expedition.i ground neg cable to direct to neg side of second battery. And (-) ground at chasis.
Thanks for help I'll rewire ground cable.
