I got a PPI PC2400 amp that I recently purchased, and of course, nothing but the amp itself, so as I look online about specs for it, I am seeing that it is rated at 24 volts.
Does this mean I can add another battery and double the output?
Sounds really crazy to me, an probably dangerous to the vehicle, and actually not sure if it would even work, and be stable.
I do have a HO alternator, not that that would matter.
On another note (or the same), I do have the extra battery, as i upgraded everything under the hood, alt, bat, big 3, originally had a 1 frad cap, but that did not do anything for the headlight diming, so I took it out when I built my wall of 15's, and after all the upgrades, did not really help that problem either, so I am thinking just adding the old battery to the back of my Blazer, probably wired just like the cap was. Does this sound like it might help the headlight dimming problem, and any other advise in general about all this. Thanxxx

You would need an alternator capable of charging a 24vdc system.  You would then need to set it up so that the vehicle still runs off of 12vdc but the amp gets 24vdc.  Most likely the added effort/cost would prevent you from actually doing this.

Your best bet would be to leave the single battery under the hood, and have 2 batteries in the back for the amp, wired in series for 24v.

For charging, you could get a 24v street charger. Not sure if it will keep up with the system being played constantly though, as they are deigned for charging batteries for hydraulics.

The owner's manual above does not indicate it is capable of 24V.  Regardless, there is no reason to install a 24V electrical system unless you are competing, and even then there are classification reasons not to...

I could not find anything about 24 volts either.  Actually is does state 11-15 volts.  Do not attempt to connect it to a 24 volt supply
