I just bought a 4 band eq (simple, but really all i want is more subwoofer adjustment) and i am lookin for a place to put it in my '97 grand cherokee. It does have one spot that intrigues me... There is a window about the size of head unit for package indicators (ie. towing packages, 4wheel, A/C). My jeep only has 4wheel, which is also indicated on the shifter, so to have this picture of a truck with its wheels lighting up when you shift into 4wheel is pretty much useless... I was thinkin about takin that out and making an fiberglass cover to cover the space between the EQ edges and dash. Bad idea? good idea? what about wireing? Will it be ok if i just cap those wires making the 4wheel indicator be ok, or does the 4wheel system use that in the curciut to make it run?
I have also considered some other not so attractive places to put it... ie, alongside the centerconsole between it and the driver seat, in the glove compartment, under the dash hang-mounted...
Anyone have any cool ideas of where i could put it? anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks

What about inside the center console? Is there enough room there for it to fit? Also you may want to consider the pros and cons of installing a Eq. It will most likely create distortion, and my not be as beneficial to your system as you think.
does it have angle mounts or is it just meant to be mounted in a hole? i would mount it in a place where it is hidden but you can still get to it easily.
