I have a 2001 Pontiac Firebird with Monsoon sound in it. I know it tkes an 1858 metra wiring harness; however i need to know which wire in the small plug is the amp turn-on wire. It does not have the usual pink wire that most silverado pickups do.

If you hear the door chime through the speaker then the Monsoon system you have is a data wire type and can only be controlled via the OEM deck. If the PINK wire doesn't turn it on, then you have the data wire posted_image
