I completed my audio installation and it sounds good, but better when the windows are down. Any suggestions? Is it because the sound pressure needs to go somewhere, and if the windows are up and the car is sealed, more vibration occurs, and causing more distortion? I have an alphasonic 2200 rms pushing 2-12 inch solobarics. MTX 4 channel pushing 4 infinity kappa components in a 2005 accord coupe. Thanks.

just like i thought you had kicker subs. what knd of box do you have? i have a kicker cvx 15 and it too likes it better when i roll the windows down. if it's sealed i say port the box.

it is a sealed box, but I cant modify the box into a ported enclosure. I built the custom sealed box and its in my custom trunk with amp racks on both sides. Any other ideas? thanks.

This all has to do with the vehicals acoustics. When you roll the window down you are effectively changing tune and how the car is acousticaly. This has nothing to do with a brand whats so ever. Some cars will not be this way. I had a civic that was better on the mic sealed up than window open. My navigator on the other hand does better open. It just acoustics of the vehical. -------------

yep, basically the vehicle becomes the enclosure. Think of it as a higher order bandpass basically and your sitting IN a chamber
