I'm going to build a box for two 10's would it be okay to have the port on the side instead of the middle?

As i am an idiot said. Yes it will be fine. One thing to keep in mind is that you should have as much space as the port width or a bit more away from a solid wall. So if the port is smashed up against a wall of the vehical you can expect a performance issue. If say your port is 3 inches wide and it is at least 3 inches or more from a vehical wall you will be fine in doing this.

I usualy go for the longer and larger ports for less wind noise, mine usualy HAVE to vent on the side but the last poster is correct, keep it away from things DIRECTLY next to it
