I need some advice from some pros. I have an 04 chevy crew cab w/bose and no onstar. I will be installing a Jvc AVX 820. I am looking for a good brand oem interface to keep chime module and provide 12 acc 12v batt etc.... there are a lot brands out there. I don't want to get bad interface like my brother did for his grand am. We had lots of problems. Price not really a problem cause I don't want to have any problems with the truck. Here's my current system break down I kept oem 6 disk and bypassed all the bose equip, except factory sub. Using 2 hi/lo converters I have an us accoustics 4 ch amp for my kicker 5 1/4 componets in front doors an 6 1/2 image dynmaics in rear. And pair of boston neo 5tx tweets in stock a pillar . Jl 500/1 w/ 1 10" infinity dvc sub.    I don't mind dropping factory bose sub when I upgrade. I really don't need the module with provides speaker wires or amp pre inputs etc. Just need the basic 12v sw, 12v batt, gnd, dimmer, etc.... plus retain chime features and anything else this oem deck controls.   Any help would be great. Thanks and btw my brother got his bad interface off ebay don't rember brand name but it never really worked.

There is no real "best" brand out there. With that said, I use PAC interfaces to retain onstar and chime in my '07 Trailblazer, no issues, works like a charm.

I use both the peripheral and pac it depends if you wanna keep your Onstar if you do go with the PAC if not you can use the peripheral. I've never had problems with either
