these subs are god awful. better paper weights. they were about 100 a piece at best buy but they have recently got new models in that are about $120 a piece and a considerable upgrade. whats your price range and the amp you will be pushing them with.

The alpine is your best choice for the amplifiers. As for the woofers, if you are on a budget look into pioneer subwoofers.

Catching attention is a sure way to get your gear stolen....fast!! Everytime I install subs I tell the customer to turn it down as they're getting to a parking lot, and never ever pull into your house, (apt) with the sound booming. People notice what you have, and aren't afraid to take it. Thought I'd tell you that same thing just as a courtesy. I know it sucks that we have to do that, but getting your gear stolen sucks a lot more!!!

kicker CVR's or Comps are good spl for the money. dependent on the box of course.

if spl do the max recommended ported by kicker. if sealed i've heard them sound best in a 1.25 cubic ft regular prefab box which is well within their recommended by kicker i think. depends on how you want to go with it . Either way you should be happier with those over the kenwoods
