I want to test the best SQ for my car. im going for SQ not SPL. i like the old songs my dad when he was in SQ competitions they played What A feeling - by flash dance. to me that was an awesome song for SQ. does anyone know any good songs like that i can test out for my car? like tommy page or something? or the songs they used back then for SQ competitions?

i always try to use a female vocal with an acoustic back ground for tuning SQ.  celine, braxton are some names that come to mind.

So much good stuff out there, unfortunately, none of it has been recorded in the last 5 to 8 years! posted_image

Add to that list:

Randy Newman - Faust
Yello - Drive, Driven (the single)
Jimmy Buffett - Fruitcakes
Crash Test Dummies - God Shuffled His Feet
James Taylor - Hourglass
Prince - Purple Rain (no, really)
Various Artists - Round-Up (Telarc, of course)
Tom Scott - Smokin' Section
Santana - Supernatural (surprisingly good, most tracks)
Disney - Tarzan Soundtrack (Trashin' the Camp, the first version on the album)
Pink Floyd - The Final Cut Two Suns in the Sunset, ESPECIALLY.
U2 - The Joshua Tree
Anna Nalick - Wreck of the Day Breathe (2AM) almost makes me cry every time I hear it.
The Crystal Method - Vegas A guilty pleasure of mine... A bit heavy (ok, WAY heavy - to the point of ACID!) but fantastic values!

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
