Just Bought A 12in Type R from best buy, i previously owned a 12 kenwood but kept blowing it so i upgraded, the box i had for the kenwood is not a good fit for the type r, does anyone have a diretion for me to go in to find a design for the sub, that will give me max bass with a ported slot,

Are you just looking for loudness or do you want some sound quality as well?

For the type-r I usually recommend around 2 cubic foot with about a 32-34Hz tuning. That may not be the best for you. It depends on what type of sound you are looking for.

Im looking for a little of both i know that probably doesnt make sense but more loudness, when you say 32-34hz tuning what exactly do you mean by that im am a novice when it comes to this kind of stuff just trying to learn on the fly,

Take your time and get the right amount of knowledge to do this correctly. If you're in a hurry you should pay a pro to design and build it for you. First thing you have to do now is measure available space for the enclosure. You will need to know maximum height, width and depth in which to put it.
