I have a sony cdx-mp80 cd player and I am having some problems with it. The cds sometimes won't load up, and sometimes the cds will just stop playing in the middle of a song and go back to the error screen.

This cd player is unique in a way that it has a motorized disc tray that comes out when you want to insert a cd.

So I don't know if dust has accumulated in the tray or there is something else wrong with the stereo.

I did buy the cd player back in 2003, but I really like this cd player.

Five-plus years on a Sony car CD player is a nice long life. Congrats to you that it lasted this long. Time to replace it.
