can anyone help me out here, I used to have some equations.   Cant seem to find them, trying to see if something is plausible

Trying to solve farads of capacitance (c)it would take to support (x)Amps at (y) voltage for (t) time

So

Farads = 900Amps 14volts for 3 seconds

thanks for any help

IIRC from all those years of electrical training in the Navy... (This is a formula I don't often use...)

Amps times Volts times Time = Joules or watt-seconds

900 X 14 X 3 = 37.8kJ

Joules / Volts = Farads

37800 / 14.4 = 2625F

So... 900A at 14.4V for 3 seconds would require 2.6kF!

Pretty sure that's the way it works... If I'm wrong, i am an idiot will be along shortly to give you the correct information... :)

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

That sounds about right.
