I've been scouring the forums soaking up all that I can so I don't ask dumb/repeat questions. I'm not really new to the scene but I'm definitely out of my league when it comes to completely redoing the entire interior of the car...all custom made.

I'm really looking for general suggestions for the set up I'm doing. The goal of the system is to be hidden but sound good as it can(convertible).

Car Stats:
1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible
Optima Yellow top
60 sheets Hushmat
H/U: Alpine CDA-9886 (mounted in custom Center console)
F/S: Alpine SPX-17PRO (mounted in custom kick panels-built to disappear rather than proper staging)
Sub: JL Audio 13TW5-3 Thin-line(will be mounted in "rear-deck" area-very small and weird area)
Amps: Alpine PDX-1.600(trunk mounted)
      Alpine PDX-4.100(trunk mounted)
12 awg speaker wire? monoprice stuff ok?
(2) 20' ft RCA interconnects Monoprice ?
0 awg 25' power?
4 awg 10' amp power/ground?

I am currently trying to figure out all the proper wiring and distribution, like best place to get, sizing etc...

My main concern is the power wires....Can I run 0 gauge w/ (?)fuse to the trunk then distribute the 2- 4 awg to amps? would that be safe/ideal? I'm also hoping to upgrade the Big 3 ASAP.

Anything I haven't thought of or concerns? I have a few weeks to finish gathering parts before interior guy needs to button up the stereo and wire it.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Brian

Yes, you can run 0 gauge wire safely but is it ideal?, no it is overkill. 4 gauge would be fine for your application as it is rated to 150 amps. Make sure you fuse your power wire within a foot of your battery. You can use a dist block and distribute the power wire to each amp. Yes make sure you do the big three this will help out alot in retaining your voltage, you may want to look into a high output alternator as well if you have problems after installing your system, and doing the big three. Nice Cont. BTW!!

Update:

So I got the 0 gauge wire anyways(and some 4 gauge), definitely overkill:

But if I decide to add another amp & sub I'll be setup for it.

Now my new concern is for the front stage:

On the SPX-17PROs crossover there are 4 inputs and 4 outputs. I know where the outputs go but I am wondering what will be the best way to wire these so they'll sound killer.

Should I:
1. Bridge the PDX 4.100 and run 200w to each side?
2.Do I run 100w to each tweeter and woofer("bi-amped" using all 4 channels)? That has to be too much power right?
3.Or do I just run it @ 100w to each side and forget about the extra 2 channels of power being wasted?

I need these to crank because there's no room for any rear fill and I drive the car with the top down 90% of the time.

Couple of progress pics for those that are interested.

Where I'm hoping I can make the JL fit, if not the amps will go here:
