I have an 01 Tahoe with Onstar but without Bose. I have a Dual xdvd710 HU and am wiring the aftermarket head unit up with a PAC OS-1 harness. I hooked it all up and it works, the sound and the HU work fine, but after a bit I noticed that my battery had been draining pretty bad. So what could it be. I have the blue power antenna wired to blue on harness, and blue/white amp remote wired to blue/white on harness.

How long is a little while?
10min,30min,5hours.
How big is the battery?
Might need a bigger battery or a yellow/red top or a power cell. This might help you out

How did you notice? Car won't start? did you measure voltages at the batt?

I noticed the battery drain about 30 min after I installed the HU that my car wouldn't start. It went from about 12 volts to about 9 volts. I have it hooked up right and I'm not pushing any large speakers. I think I have a bad battery. I charged the battery, reinstalled everything and I havn't had any problems again. Thanks!
