Hey guys.  I just ran across this forum searching the net for a picture of diagram of a 1997 Honda Accord's head unit wiring and thought I might join up and ask a question.

First off, my name is David.. I'm 17 and live in NE Texas.  My ride is a soon-to-be-sold 93 Nissan Hardbody(lil-tweaked).

The question I ask is:  Who the he11 made the wiring diagram on the 97 Accord??  I took the deck out of my girlfriend's car yesterday to put a new headunit in and I was totally stumped.  Does anyone have a link or any idea of what color does what?  I don't remember all of the wires, but I think on the "power" side of the plug, there was a RED / yellow, RED / white, blue/white, black, BROWN / white, etc.  Do any of you have a clue which wires do what, or anything to try to help me?

Thanks in advance,

David

Thanks for the tips.  I want to rewire the plug for the unit, so I'll just print off a copy of that picture.  Thanks again

One more question.  I have an almost new Legacy 1200W 2 Channel amp and 2 Sony Xplod 10's(both new).  Sometimes when I'm driving down a rough road, or hitting some bumps my speakers just start hitting and making a constant vibration.  Any clues?  It's like the amp is pushing full power constantly, but i can tap on the amp cover and it will quit.  Any ideas?

Sounds like you may have loose RCA cables.
