Hi all,
I'm getting ready to 'deaden' my project car so have been reading up on different sound deadeners lately. I'd like to hear from anyone who has
actually used eDead, and their experiences with it. I know originally it was an asphalt-based one and closely resembled roof flashing, but now it is rubber-butyl so hopefully much better.
I know alot of people have 'heard its good' etc, but I'd really like to hear from someone who has it installed (or installed it). Obviously I want to know how good it is at reducing external noise, retaining internal music etc, but also how long you've had it installed for, what kind of temperatures the car's been exposed to, and if it smells.
If anyone can help me out that'd be great, thanks!

I used eDead in my car and have liked it. It doesn't smell or anything like that. It seems to work pretty well and reduced any rattling a good deal.
I used two layers in a few areas to help a little more but I would recommend it. I don't have a lot of expereince with other products so I can't really compare it that much to other brands. I just got it because it was pretty cheap and I needed a little bit for a small rattling problem.
Sweet, thanks for that

Forgot to also ask, how long have you had it installed in your car for? Have you found it reduced road noise quite a lot as well?
I have had it installed for about 7-8 months now. The road noise is not much different but I only installed it in my trunk lid and rear deck. So I wouldn't expect it to be any different anyways.
It does sound very nice when I shut my trunk now.
