pioneer 5000ub

hey guys i have a pioneer5000ub head unit and i have seen that it have 2 EQ settings EQ 1 and EQ 2. I want to know what the EQ 2 setting are for and how should i set them.  Hi 12khz 1n-2n-1w-2w what are these how to set them for the highs/

they are just like pre sets for radio stations. you can set eq2 differently from the first. for example you can tune number 1 to sound good with the windows up and set eq2 to sound how you like it with the windows down. or you dont have to set it at all.

The EQ2 function enables you to tell your receiver which part of the frequency band you wish to boost or cut. The EQ1 function enables you to adjust how much boost or cut you want to give to each frequency band dictated in EQ2.

I have a Pioneer DEH-P4000UB with this exact setup. The Q factor changes which frequencies around the selected one are affected. The 2W Q factor is a very wide Q. The 1N Q factor is very narrow and it only catches just a few frequencies.

The different EQ1 values are as follows:
Low-40, 80, 100, 160
Mid-500, 1k, 2k, 4k
High-6k, 8k, 10k, 12k

Using a combination of Q factors and frequency selections, you should be able to boost and cut the areas of sound you need to in order to shape the sound output to fit your vehicle.
