I currently have 3 10" MTX 7500(rms at 400w each) Single Voice Coil, 4ohm subs wired together at a 1.33 ohm level in a MTX factory loaded enclosure. And I have the MTX JH1200 Mono Amp that puts out 800watts rms at 2 ohms, and 1200 watts rms at 1ohm.

I thinking and debating of buying a brand new in the box 10" MTX 7500 single voice coil 4ohm (same model as the other 3) then wiring them together to get them down to a 1ohm load and either build a vented or sealed enclosure.

My question is which would be better, mostly for sound quality, but I also want alot of BASS!

3 subs at 1.33 ohm getting (I dont know how many watts 1.33 ohms outs out compared to a 1ohm load) getting 300+++ close to 400w rms each?
or
4 subs at 1 ohm getting 1200watts rms each sub getting 300w rms

Also how many watts rms would 1.33 ohms pull compared to 1ohm at 1200 watts rms?

i would go with the 4 subs because you can push more air. but that is just me

your results depend on how you build the box. when you are just adding another sub to the 3 you have already it probably wont even be a noticable difference. in other words, its a gamble and it could go either way.
