Just sold my type x's. I'm wanting a nice clean system. No more loud obnoxious bass. I listen to a little bit of everything and want nice component speakers for my 2001 VW Jetta. I've been planning on getting Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.5 components for the fron doors and infinity kappa 6.5's for the rear doors and pushing all speakers with the new infinity kappa series 4 channel. I get a work discount on all of this so my total budget for product is around $400-500. My question is are there any other component speaker systems i should be looking at in this price range for all 4 speakers? Do i need components in the back(i'm really only putting them there because the hole is there for them) and if i choose not to put components in the rear doors do i just cut the leads to the factory tweeter to produce the 4 ohm load or what do i do with them? Thanks for any input
Infinity remains my favorite low-cost speaker system, but you should also check out the JL Audio components. I have a set of the VR's in my wife's car and they are pretty nice. No need for components in the back - indeed, no real need for any speakers in the back unless you just like that sort of surround sound. Install coax in the back and just leave the factory tweeters disconnected.

Well i frequently have passengers in the rear of the car so i thought it would be a good idea. Plus the price difference between kappa coax and components is only about 20 bucks at my cost. Aren't the JL's going to blow my budget apart even for their low end?
Decided to get the kappa components for the front and back doors of the Jetta. Now that they are both installed i am looking for a 4 channel to push them. I get discount on both the RF punch 300-4 and the New infinity kappa Four. Both of these i get for around $175. Which one should i choose? Why? and should i be looking at anything else for around this price range?
