Is the box a single chamber? Or is there a division between them? What amp are you using? model #.

Yes there is a devider in the middle of the box and I don't know the model number but its a pioneer mono block 800 watt plus it gets real hot after like 25 or 30min of use is that normal

Is there any way you can get a picture of the set up..mainly the custom box you mentioned.
I've used these woofers up to 1 cubic feet of airspace...with great success. Do u have 4ohm or 2ohm woofers? I think the amp may be getting hot because of the impedance load, more specifically too low.

They are 4ohm subs ill try and get pics up but the box its the pre fab ones that fir in there with the t looking design to go over my air ducks in the back the amp gets hot fast and I can smell it

First. The amp is a class a/b which means its ganna get hot...if you are using it at 2 ohms (like your setup). It hasn't shut off on you has it?
Second. An amp that would run all four speakers is going to be pricey...because the speakers are single coil 4 ohm. So u must look for a MONOBLOCK 1 ohm stable amp, with about 800W RMS.
Your current amp puts out 360W, which is enough for the P1 but not the Shallow pioneers...they are about 400W RMS.
If you wanted to get an amp for all 4, You will not be able to get all the power necessary, because there is a large power handling difference between the P1's and the Pioneers.
So I suggest getting another amp to run your pioneers...about 800W RMS at 2 ohms. (1 ohm stable).
Hope this helps.

Thats the point..you don't want an amp to "just" make the power, U wanna have an amp with plenty of power available...so its easier for the amp to produce the 500W RMS the woofers want. Get it?
Say the new amp is capable of 1000W RMS at 1 ohm. Set up with your woofer you'll get a 2 ohm load, so think of this as being half as easy for the amp to give you 500W RMS.
Be careful though cus this does NOT mean set the amp gains to "half way" and it'll all be ok. There is a section on this site about setting your gains....HERE

I'll look into AMPs.

A flat woofer is a good thing if you do not have room for anything else.  However they are not the most durable things out there.   In my opinion, overpowering those subs is NOT a good idea at all.

.. I didn't say you wanted to over power the woofers, I meant that the amp should be MORE than able to drive the woofers...

...links to ebay are not allowed in the forum...read the rules....
