How should I wire the combination of equipment in the title. Is this an ok amp to use with this sub even though its way over the recommended limit? I hooked it up in bridge mode and it sounded great but I didnt know if it was being overpowered. Also do I need a capacitor it the stereo kicks off when bass hits too high.   Not the amp. The head unit kicks off.

Is it a dual voice coil woofer?   What is the impedance of the coil(s)?   Did you run the amp's power wire to the battery?

Single 4ohm coil and amp power and ground straight to battery.

Is it too much power for this sub if I run the amp on bridge mode

That depends solely on the quality of the data link between your ears and your right hand.   If the specs are accurate on the soundstorm amp, then yes it is a bit much power for your woofer.  I can still not think of any reason for your radio to be cutting off.  Are the radio power and ground wires ran to the battery or to the amp?  Do you have a volt meter to see how low the voltage is dropping at the radio?

No I dont have a voltometer. and Im guessin that amp is not puttin out all it says. As long as I have my gains right I think the distortion will be low enough that it wont blow but again I need a voltometer for that. I have two amps on this one battery one is the soundstorm 350.2 another is a 600 watt kenwood. The stereo is ran through the stock wiring not the amp. The amps are aftermarket.
