Hi there!

is there anyway that i can buy a sort of devise that plugs into the wall, and its output acts just like a 12volt car battery if so where could i get 1?

Yes - where you buy one depends on how much current you need.  If it is low current you can pick one up at Radioshack, if you need high current you'll need to find a place that sells power supplies.

i use an old computer power supply   works good for head units and LEDS and stuff like that

hi, im looking to get my pc power supply to use as a ac to dc converter to power a car amplifier from. do you know wat i need to do to  the pc power supply to get it to work outside of a pc.

Is it an AT or ATX supply?  If it is an ATX supply, grounding the green wire will turn the supply on.  Breaking that connection will turn the supply off.
