I have a soundstream rubicon lil' wonder 4 channel amp pushing a set of CDT high definition 6.5 in. baraxials and image tweeters up front and a set of CDT classic line 6.5 inch midbass speakers in the rear. My head uning is a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X599. My issue is that my amp cuts out at volume 24-25 and my c.d. player goes to volume 32-35. It doesn't matter if the gain is cranked all the way up or down it cuts out either way. This doesn't seem right to me because of all of the high dollar equipment sholdn't act like that. I also have it wired 4 ohms stereo to each channel so the load shouldn't be to much being that the amp can handle a 2 ohm load. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Try and disconnect your rca's one channel at a time Disconnect it turn it up and see what happens. If it cuts out reconnect it and move on to the next channel do this with all 4 channels and see if you can locate which channel causes it to cut out. They could all be fine but what ever the results are let us known. Also what size power and ground cables do you have? And how is the ground on the amp? Also is that the only amp you have connected if not dose the other one cut out?

Right now it is the only amp. My other one is in the shop right now. My ground has 2 4 ga. wires from the amps to a stinger expert dist. block and 2 0 ga. wires from the dis. block to my chassis. both grounds connected in the same spot. I also have my power as follows, off the primary batt. to 125 amp fuse block from fuse block to 200 amp stinger relay/isolator, from isolator to optima yellow top battery, 2 0 ga. power wires off of optima batt. to stinger expert fused dis. block, from dis. block to amp. One of the 2 power wires runs to a 1 farad stinger cap that is for my sub amp but like I said it is not in the picture right now. The other wire off the dis. block runs right to my lil' wonder. All of the power and ground are 0 ga. until output on dis. blocks. All of my power and ground wires are stiner HPM and my RCA's are stinger expert series.

I figured it out. I ran my remote turn on for my soundstream from the factory amp which only put out 4 volts. I tried to take the easy route and it bit me in the butt like it always does. I hooked up a 12 volt remote to it and cranked it all the way up with not problems with the gains set all the way down which is my goal. Thanks for all of your help.
