I am not sure about money orders, but I usually buy from .....com or hifisoundconnection.com, and I try to avoid shops b/c they tend to be overpriced b/c they have to make more profit than an online dealer

It has nothing to do with more profit, it has to do with a service that we provide to the customer.Anyone can sell a subwoofer to a customer but in the end, is the sub that your wanting suitable for your needs ? What if you have a problem with an online store ? Of course you can send it back to them ( at your expense ) and get a replacement, but if you purchase from a local shop, this is taken care of for you at no extra charge either.

well I agree with you that proffessional advice on buying is good, ive worked at best buy, circuit city, and a mom and pop shop called sound center, but when buying I just do my reseach on what I want and need and like to save money when possible thats why I buy online, and if you have questions and want to learn about something that is what these forums are for, but this forum seems to just be a lot of people arguing more so than helping.

Not arguing, just everyone giving their opinion and some members like to argue their opinion, but in the end, it's your opinion. This forum promotes free speech and can open alot of worms, but can calso open eyes to other peoples thoughts.

Always have a local dealer in your back pocket. Find a good one and visit regularly. Chances are they have first hand knowledge on what works best for you. They may have seen or done it all with the brands they sell. Chances are they have done several setups in your cars make/model.
