I have 4ga wire split into 8ga via a distribution block to two amplifiers. Should the ground wires be 4ga or 8ga or does it even matter? I bought extra 4ga not even thinking about it but only enough for 1 amplifier. Can I have one 4ga ground and one 8ga?

As long as you total ground return is equal to or GREATER than a #4, you'll be fine.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
