I bought this sub from my cousin so I really had no reason not to trust what he said. He told me it was a RE MT 18 that was reconed/rebuilt with FI soft parts. The basket looks like a FI or RE but the cone area is what concerns me. I don't have that much experience with car audio. I'm currently building the box for it, i just hope is fires up.

So what's your question? If it's been rebuilt correctly, I'm sure it will "fire up". It won't perform the same as the original sub as the soft parts are different. You might want to get the sub tested to obtain parameters for it so you can build a proper enclosure. That is unless they supplied these with the re-cone.

Yea, that was my question. Weather or not it was rebuilt correctly. Thanks for all the feedback. I feel better about the purchase.
