2001 Ford Explorer Sport with factory am/fm/cd display a headphone icon with nothing pluged into jacks. I'm thinking I could just unhook jacks at radio plug. Can't figure out which wire it is.

try lt blu/pink and tan wires. You may lose all control from the rear panel though. Lt GREEN/ blk is another one you can try.

lt blue/pink=ACP 1
tan=ACP 2
lt GREEN/ blk=Audio Sys On

Only other wires there are speaker wires and B+/ground.
