i have a 2002 gmc yukon slt. the drivers side front door speaker blew. i purchased new 6 1/2" 3-way speakers and when i went to replace the old with the new i noticed there was a seperate factory installed tweeter with its own connection. can i install the new 3-way where the old woofer was. what is the proper proceedure to follow without going to a component system?

Is the tweeter wired into the same location as speaker you are replacing...If so, You can wire it up or dis-connect it...Do it on both sides
