I have a 2003 dodge ram reg cab with the following setup : mbquart 6.5 component set in the doors powered by a kenwood 500x4 (only using the hpf channels though) . 2 12" mbquart discus subs powered by a memphis class d 500watt rms.
my question: should I mount the tang bands in the rear near the other subs or in the front with the other mids like in the kick panels. IF I put them in the rear I was going to make tubes for them for better bass , if I put them in the front I was going to make kick panel enclosure but would not be able to get exact amount of cu.ft. on specs. I am looking for the best location for sound qaulity not spl thanks in advance.

What are you planning to use them for? You already have a good set of 12" subwoofers... ------------- Support the12volt.com

I was planning to use them more for bass than for highs if that makes sense

You don't need them. You have 12" subs and 6.5" mains. Set the HP crossover for the mains and the LP crossover for the subs at the same point around 80Hz and you should be fine. ------------- Support the12volt.com

thanks for the info my set up sounds alot cleaner at 80hz, know anyone who wants some tang bands? lol j/k. any chance you might know whatthe svc feature on an eclipse cd3200 hu might mean. it sure makes my front stage louder, I looked in the owner manual but it doesnt say. thanks again

SVC is "source volume control." It allows you to set a different default level for each input. See your owner's manual for instructions on how to set it. ------------- Support the12volt.com
