port, the mojo will tear a sealed box up. My friend has 6-15's in a f-150 crewcab. pounds

ive heard mojos in sealed and ported. the sub will NOT blow a sealed box apart, as long as its built well and the correct airspace inside, im gussing a mojo is prob 2.5 cu. ft. but it will sound better out of a ported box, it will take a bigger box however, so if your going for a compact and loud system the sealed will do good....if you have plenty of space tho, id suggest a ported. look up your optimal box for your 12 or 15 inch sub.

No sub will blow a properly constructed sealed enclosure.

The mojos lean towards ported enclosures...if you can build a 2.5-3.5 cu ft enclosure for the mojo (assuming it is a 12) tuned to 30-40Hz it will slam hard.

Just curious what kind of box was it ...Custom or Pre-fab...Was it new...I am not a a mojo dealer...So only experience is customer bring-ins and a buddy shop is a dealer, and have seen a few of his custom sealed enclosures . Never had a problem blowing up the box...But i guess i have seen sonys tear up some plywood boxes and a few super thin MDF small pre-fab boxes.

vibrationcustom...what you saw was a poorly constructed enclosure. Simple as that.

The mojo is a normal subwoofer...nothing special about it that makes it "blow sealed enclosures up".

OP...you will not regret going ported.

Who knows I would just go with a ported box. But like everyone on here it is your setup just do what you want with it. We can state things on here all we want but in the end it still up to the people that asked the question. Sorry in advance if I mad anyone unhappy. Just here to help just like everyone else. Oh Aznboi3644 I do not buy or recommend prefab boxes to anyone of my customers all are junk in my opinion. Custom enclosure is my life and been doing them for 5-10+ years so it was a crap box but I have seen it done and I was stating that fact that it could happen to anyone.
