Do this twice, in parallel, for a net 3-ohm load.

Or, to get you to the target between 1 and 2 ohms,

Do that three times, wire all three sets in parallel, for a 1.33 ohm load. (or, "an off number"... Let's see who catches that jab...)

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Is an "Off Number" the opposite of a "Prime Number"?

It is true.  Everything is an off number for this group of subs, but if you can live with that it should be okay.  Use the 1.33 ohm configuration only if your amp is rated down to 1 ohm ...which is an off number, too, by the way.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
