ok guys this is probably a real easy question,but i can't understand it.i have hooked up systems but you guys really make me feel like i am not as good as i thought.ok the whole ohms thing i am just learning that its important.i have 2 MTX road thunder 12" in non ported box wired together to 1 terminal in back.1 site says their 2 ohms 1 says 4 ohms??i have a lighning audio 250.1 amp that runs 150w @4 ohms 250 @2ohms.how do i make my amp push 2ohms(hoping my subs are 2ohms)so i can get the 250 watt push.and what is parallel,and series wiring.here is my exact subs and box https://www.crutchfield.com/p_236RT12X2D/MTX-Road-Thunder-RT12X2D.html?tp=112&tab=features_and_specs   .so i guess my real question is how do i get the 250@ 2ohms.I hope this makes since.thanx

You will have to borrow or purchase an Ohm meter to determine the impedance of your speakers. Let me know when you get the meter, I will let you know how to check them.

the impedance isn't printed somewhere on the sub?

That speaker system comes from the factory pre-wired for a 2-ohm load.  Your amplifier is a mono amp that can handle a 2-ohm load.  Just wire it together and set the gain properly.
