What is the best for the price / SQ in a ported 10" 1.4 cu.ft at 40 Hz amplified by a Pioneer GM-D7400M 250 watts RMS at 4ohms.

Clarion SW1051 or Alpine Type-E SWE-1043 ? Both are around 100$.

Huh...good question. Opiniarian: Alpine works well ported, but usually not in reference to SQ. Ports need power. Either way you go, I cant imagine that you would ever believe you chose wrong. If your not happy with your choice you may want to look again at your amp/box type combo.

Well right now i have the Clarion and its underpowered.. Spec said that it can support up to 375 watts RMS... my amp can shoot only 250 Watts.. So with the alpine it wont be underpowered... But maybe going with a 2 Ohms SVC or 4 Ohms DVC so i can have 400 Watts rms.

Pioneer plays clean but I never got the high output feeling from them. Electronic crossover comes to mind. Id probably crank up the input voltage and see what the amp could do. * thinking out loud. *
The 2 ohm dvc idea might be worth it.
