Since I hace no idea what kind of vehicle we are dealing with, I will grasp at a few straws. If you open the trunk of the car, do the speakers still pop? If you turn the subs off, do the speakers still pop? If your subs are firing straight up and directly toward the popping speakers, turn the box so the subs fire toward the back of the car. If you have a truck pretty much disregard all of the above, and let me know what you are driving.
they start popping when the volume on my head unit is about three 3/4 the maximum or they cut out and only the subs play...ive never messed with the crossover frequency on my amp. Every single wire is in correct place. Im 100% sure. I just dont know about ohms and crossovers and stuff?
I drive a 2002 Honda Civic Ex.
Rear speakers are JBL's and front speakers are stock..
A different approach!!!
How loud do you have to turn the volume on the radio to make them pop?
Do they sometimes cut out all the way and just leave your woofers playing alone?
Have you ever messed with the crossover frequency of your amp?
Is every wire of your system in it's correct place? Are you sure?
What do you know about Ohms and crossovers and stuff?
What kind of speakers do you have?

That's funny...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
I would guess, wiithout hearing the problem for myself, that you've got at least one bad rear speaker. When they hit a certain volume, they'll start popping. Drive them a little harder, speakers cut out all together and you have just your woofer playing. This is because part of the speaker is coming into contact with a ground and throwing the source unit into protect mode. If the symptoms I've specualted are correct, try replacing your rear speakers and check back with us.
