I have the MCD2500.  Must get a bigger ALT.  What head unit you plan on running?  I have found with these amps thats you need some decent line out voltage.  I like MOJO subs, but they do take a lot of airspace.

Memphis plays pretty clean....Take a look at their electronic cross-over. It can help with any signal input issues you think you may have. Why red top? I was under the belief that the yellow top was best choice.

Red tops are made to be used as a main battery. yellow tops are made for reserve batteries. red tops have more cranking amps yellow tops have more reserve

I hope you use a air ported enclosure...not sure if a liquid or plasma ported enclosure would work.

I know some Memphis Dealers offer a 3 year warranty if you use there subs, amp, wires etc...Dont forget to add The Big 3... A bigger alternator is not a bad choice either...And probably forget about the caps...

Never knew that.  i have been using a yellow top for 4 years now.  I guess that would be why we used a red top in the race car.

yea im going to get an airported box.. 2.22 cubic feet per sub.

for my head unit i have a kenwood excelon kdc-x493. the guy at the shop it was good enough for the job... tho i do want a different head unit..

i definitely want to get an alternator installed also do you think i need to get it right away or no? cuz im putting some serious money down

$300 per mojo sub

$750 mojo amp

i think $250 for the box

the red cap battery is $160

i think im going with the kicker 0 guage wiring kit for $125

tell me what you think for that price? the guy said the subs can sale for like 400-600 a piece and the amp can sale for over 1000 the red cap batt for 250

well, its not like you cant use a yellow top as a main battery, red tops are just better suited for the job.

Get a bigger Alt before you install the amp.  1/0 welding cable works just as well, and may be cheaper.https://weldingsupply.securesites.com/cgi-bin/einstein.pl?Next::1:UNDEF:OR:terms::PA#A2

We are a Memphis ONLY dealer

I Think you should put in the 4KW on the 2 Mojos

We put 2500w on just 1-Mojo all the time

The new Mojos coming soon will take 3500w rms
The 09 Mojos take 2500w rms

For sure UG the big 3 If you dont they wont cover the amp or subs

Be sure to use the OG Kit for the amp

Also use 2 Kinetik KHC2400 for the Batts.

Then for boxes use Ported tuned @ 35-45

DBL face the box so the Mojo stays in the box

hit me up if you need more help

oh yea.. if i do need an alternator.. what kind of amperage would i need on it? and how much they normally cost? and the big 3 whats that normally run you?

You doin all the work yourself Nissan? Are you runnin your amp at 1 ohm? So your putting in a Dual 2ohm mojo? Big 3 is cake..it should cost you only the wire and connectors. If you want to reach your rms at 1ohm rating, at 14.4 volts you'll need 173.6 amps. 200 amp should work, unless my calculations are wrong. Do your Big 3 and alternator swap at the same time, obviously:).

Crap, running numbers say that it wont be enough for all equipment at their peaks. Bass test with a/c kickin on running headlights blah blah ...However, a single 12" jeez. Two 12" go 350a on the alt. Ima hafta go Opiniarian on this topic....I still have issues with these claims made by companies based on values that are so circumstantial. Match your batteries charging % to your alts charging output. BAH stay below 1400w, life is easier.......dammit.

We to are a memphis dealer and that amp is hungry. I would try to get a 350 amp alt., better to have a little x-tra than not enough. Look at it like this if you opt for a smaller and a little cheaper alt,  you then kill it and end up getting the bigger one anyway or you can be like most people that would just by another one the same size and continue the process. Also with running a set-up like this you must upgrade the wiring ie the big 3 or you will have ill results. I personally have seen cars that have 0 gauge wiring with ho alternators and a tiny 10 gauge wire feeding the battery from the alt. it will melt guaranteed. The is a post in the sticky section on the big 3 upgrade. If all else fails you can have a professional do it. The memphis products do carry a pretty nice warranty if you have the authorized dealer you purchased it  from install with memphis wiring.
