Hi, this is my 5th personal vehicle I've replaced the factory radio with a aftermarket cd player. Thought i'd take it easy this time and buy the wiring harness and see how they work. Well the first problem I encountered is the biggest of all, I cannot locate the actual factor plug, the wires come directly out of the radio and eq and run away up behind the instrument cluster. Just looking for some advice from someone with exp. It's a '94 Chevy K1500 with the EQ beside the tape player.

Sit in the truck, directly in front and above your right knee is an amplifier/tuner module.  Put your hand on your knee and move it forward and up behind the dash.  The amp is positioned in a vertical manner.  One screw right there and another where that bracket meets  the firewall.  It has been many years, there may be a third screw.  Really don't remember.

Yes the plugs you need are connected to the amp/tuner module.  The cable from the tape deck and the control head all go to that unit.
