I have a single 12" RF sub 4ohm dual voice coil 400rms...looking at amps. Im on a budget. Which amp would you choose out of the list? Im not looking for loud..looking for quality sound.

Kenwood 2ohm 500w rms (overpower) Class D
Kenwood 2ohm 300w rms Class D
Phoenix Gold 2ohm 300w rms Class D
JBL 2ohm 360w rms Class A/B
Pioneer 2ohm 400w rms Class D

Again, I know... not the best amps in the world, but just looking for a little more bump..not competition stuff or to shake the truck.

forgot to add.. What about running the Kenwood 500w amp at 8ohm? I dont think it will be enough power. I cant find the specs anywhere for 8ohm...only 2ohm and 4ohm (4ohm is impossible :( )

2ohm for power 4ohm for sound .i think I would go with a kenwood ,only because ive owned four or five of them and they are reliable a little overrated too the 500 watt mono block would be my choice.

How do you wire for 4ohm with a single DVC?

Or if you want to be able to switch from 2 to 8 Ohms with just a flip of a switch, you could https://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp#spvr
