I am trying to figure out where the eq curves should be set on pioneer 4900ib low has 40-80-100-160 hz mid has 200-500-1k-2k hz high has 3k-8k-10k-12k hz all settings have q factor of 1n-2n-1w-2w I have HP and Lp filters set to100 main amp is 08zx350.4 set to off It has only HP LP or off sub amp 08zx750.1 has no filter to adjust. I just set the freq as close to 100 as I could figure. Do I set the freqs on the main amp to 100, 200, or does it matter as the filters are set to off? On amp 1 I have front door speakers 6.25 pioneers and tweeters flush mounted in headliner now x-over just wired in series to amp. Rears are 6x9 3way pioneers in deck and 5.25 pioneers flush mounted in rear side panels, again no x-over wired in series direct to amp.I believe showing each amp/channel 8 or 16 ohms?
I mis informed you guys they are all wired parallell.
They are all older ts series 4 ohm
We can not tell you where to set it. You have to listen to it, it all depends on how you like it to sound. I can help you a bit with the 1n 2n 1w and 2w thingy. At each eq frequency, the Q determines how much affect the eq has on the surrounding frequencies. Take 1K for instance, 1K with n1 will pretty much affect 1K. On n2 it will have a slight affect on 500 and 2K while still moving 1K a ton. 1W will probably slightly affect 250 and 4K while having a little more action on 500 and 2K, while moving 1k tons. 2W will be the widest of the settings and will affect even a wider range of frequencies having 1K as it's center frequency.
N is for narrow and W is for Wide
I thought that may be user preference, but it never hurts to ask and be sure. Thanks.
