Subject: best sized sealed box 15l7

I built a sealed box for my 4 15l7s and was just trying to get some opinions about what the optimum size per sub would be. The Kicker manual is really broad...like 1.5 to 6 cu sealed.. I think I could get enough bass sealed, plus I heard that ported boxes lower the power handling. Since they are only 1000 rms each and each of my zx1000.1s were bench tested in the upper 1200s I do not want to blow the subs. Any help would be greatly appreciated...also....how do you know when the subs are "broken" in?

Ported those subs will handle 1000+ watts rms all day...I really hate the way L7's sound sealed...I prefered mine ported way more.

Any specs on the box...by that I mean design......It hits very hard right now and the techs at kicker said I would blow the subs with the ported box and zx 1000s

techs are retards...blown subs are 99% user error. Not enclosure.

Enclosure design depends on application and what you want

This is 100% true. Love the answer on that one. We need to know what the year, make, and model of the car/truck before someone can design something for you the right way. I can say hey make this big of a box and it not fit because the lack of info.

here is what I got for you as a box. Same over all size 47w x 23h x 39d but put each sub in its own chamber and made an overall port size(both together 9in wide. This box is tuned to 36hz
here is a link for the pic. If you want I can give you a cut out sheet for this box.

would this be better facing up, or change it up a little to face back or forward. I just finished cutting all the pieces to go 4 sealed chambers at 2.5 cubes each in a box that i will be able to position in each of the three directions
