Does anyone know if there is a way to stop a factory toyota amp on a 1995 camery from poping when the radio cuts on and off? I was thinking maybe a resistor or capasitor might do it but am unsure of the correct one to use and the ohm/farad to use? Many thanks for help. By the way im using the metra 70-8112 and a kenwood radio

Put a 4 channel noise filter in line and adjust your gain outputs. Quality one usually ranges from $40-$50.

Otherwise I would recommend a full amp bypass if you are going to be putting something bigger into it.

If you disconnect the remote wire of the radio, while leaving the radio on, does it pop?  Then if you reconnect the remote wire, when the radio is already powered up, does it pop?

i've never had this issue with this particular car, but on a Lincoln Towncar, I had to use a 1.5k resistor, which killed the pop instantly. I guess that would be an inexpensive thing to try, but you'll probably end up doing what yimke said.

lemme know how it turns out

The 1.5k ohm resistor worked because ford amps have only a 5v turn on. Too much voltage and the amp pops the speakers.
