Is it possible to clip my sub amp w/no gain adjustments? I turned up the bass boost on the amp all the way up, left the gain on the lowest setting I have been adjusting the bass w/the wired remote included with the amp and bass boost and sub volume settings on the HU. Is this safe for my sub and/or amp or is setting the gain an absolute? I cannot tell if it is distorting or not. Do I get a test tone cd, and if so what Db and Hz is recommended? Do I run it with just my sub amp on? Do I need a different one to set my main amp?
