i need to know what would be the best way to mount 4 high output alternators. more than likely it will be going into a chevy astro of an unknown year. i know they make dual mounts but that would only take care of 2 of them.

You're talking about custom fabrication. Get to know a good welder.

thats what i figured. i was just wondering if i anyone made a mount that would take the place of something else on the engine like the AC compressor. it will be an SPL vehicle so we dont need AC

We have a customer here that has the OEM plus 2 on an 01 Expedition. He went to several Alternator shops and they told him no way. He got a friend of his to fab up a bracket. He swears he has room for another, but he has the longest available belt on it with the 3. I can get you a number for the guy that did the install if you like.

i will keep that in mind. this build is still in the very early stages of development so i was just asking around. we are probably going to use a soundstream 15,000 watt amplifier on 2 soundstream xxx 15's. the single amp alone calls for about 1,000 amps of current at 14.4V to make about 15,000 watts so that is why i am asking about mounting up to 4 alternators. maybe just 3 350 amp alternators but either way it will be a custom job.
this build was just approved, so i wouldn't get ahead of myself. things could definitely change so i will keep you guys posted. thanks for the replys.
