Does anyone know if those new thin subwoofers sound good?  Which one sounds the best?  Ive tried to find some reviews on them but no luck.  Im considering getting the MTX TT6512 (12 inch sub).  Thanks

I have no experience with the MTX line, but I can tell you that if you have room for a conventional woofer, use one of them instead.  If you are limited to a slim woofer, just be advised that they do not hold up to abuse as their standard depth counterpart.

From what we've used, they preform like a one size down standard woofer.......box size is critical.

I'm also considering some 12" pioneer 400wrms slim line subs for my front doors just to do something crazy.possiblly 2 in each door if the window will still operate.if not, its just a crazy thought.

box size just as critical as any other subwoofer...nothing different just because it is thin.

I've had the Elemental Designs SQ10...sounds really good with 100 watts.

Slim subwoofers are really limited on clearances...bottoming out is much easier.
